Liceo wins in Drum and Bugle tilt

More than the usual!

No better words can describe what was again a display of superb choreography only Liceo Drum and Bugle Corps can come up with. In five successive years, the Corps has snatched the glorious Overall Championship title for the said competition. Last November 20, 2005, under the heat of a one o'clock sun, Liceo headed for the Pelaez Sports Center with the confidence of a defending winner.

With every mentioning of the school's name, the Liceo crowd belted out a resounding hurrah matched with applause almost to bring the house down. No wonder, the Corps was awarded the Most Applauded Group.

Slated as the fourt contingent to perform, the Titans - as they fondly call themselves - kicked in an entrance enough to make a champion impression. Clad in glittering tangerine and gold ensemble, Liceo's motif coincided with the opening of Disneyland Hongkong, thus their music, costumes, and props were a whole package of Disney animations Alladin, Lion King, and the Little Mermaid. Part scene stealers were the mascots who joined the gyrating dancers, further tickling the crowd out of their seats.

Among the other minor awards received by the group are Best in Uniform and Best Band Majorette in the person of Shiella May S. Sabasaje. Their trainer is Mr. Honie Ranario.

This annual festival is sponsored by the Rotary Club of Sought along with other private entities.
