HS wizards champions in FICCO golden quiz challenge

Celebrating with the golden anniversary of the First Community Cooperative (FICCO), three Liceo High School students emerged as champions during the first FICCO Golden Quiz Challenge on July 10 at the SM City Atrium, this city.

Fourth-year Socrates students Carolyn R. Pinchay, Cyril Jonas M. Planilla, and Dave Bryll N. Yañez, together with their coach, Mrs. Mary Grace C. Mesias, brought with them the first place trophy, leaving behind the Sacred Heart of Jesus Montessori School (SHJMS) in second place, with the Misamis Oriental General Comprehensive High School (MOGCHS) in third place. Other participating schools were Xavier University High School (XUHS), Lourdes College High School (LCHS), Pilgrim Christian College (PCC), St. Mary’s Academy (formerly Cathedral School of Technology), and Mother Ignacia del Espirito Santo Night School.

The winners were awarded medals, trophies, and cash prizes, while the non-winners received Globe-printed tee shirts and caps as consolation prizes.
