With pen and paper neatly in their hands, students from the different schools belonging to the Department of Education Division of Cagayan de Oro gathered at the City Central School to participate in this year’s Division Press Conference.

The competitions, ranging from written to oral journalism, and held simultaneously, showcased the preeminence of Liceo U.'s high school students.

Our team---Adrian Ceasar Borja, Princess Aine Curro, Pearl Angelie Mahusay, Krizza Simudlan, Erik Seballos, and Laarni Navales---emerged as Champion in the Radio Broadcasting category.

Kaye Hazel Abao was also named the 1st place winner for News Writing in Filipino.

Other Liceo U. high school students were also cited for excellence: Moises Mangubat won 2nd place in Editorial Writing in Filipino; Louren Aranas was 4th placer in News Writing in English; Hazel Uy landed in the 7th place in Editorial Writing in English, and; Jessica Mae Ocado was 8th placer in Feature Writing in English.

With a total of six equally praiseworthy achievements, the student journalists will now proceed to the regional level of the nationwide competition.
